What about early voting?
Early voting begins October 7, including the Saturday and Sunday before Election Day (November 4) at the Medina County Board of Elections located at 3800 Stonegate Dr., Suite C, Medina, OH 44256 (Off Pearl Road behind Hobby Lobby and Litehouse Pools). Get all early voting details here.

How do I know who the candidates are?
Visit this page, select “11/4/2025 General Election” from the first drop down, “Township” from the second drop down and “Brunswick Hills TWP” from the third. Then, under Report Type select “Screen Display” and press “Display Officials.” Voters will be asked to vote for two individuals for Brunswick Hills Township Trustee.

What is the importance of Township government?
Townships are an important form of government in Ohio and are considered a political subdivision. Township government duties are authorized by Ohio State law and currently allow townships to provides services such as:
Road maintenance
Police
Fire protection & Emergency Medical Services
Land Use / Zoning Planning
Street lights & Waster Disposal
Township are only funded by local property taxes (levies), state funding, motor vehicle fees, and grants. Townships do not collect sales or income tax.
What does a Township Trustee do?
In Ohio, a township trustee is an elected official who serves on the township's board, acting as the legislative body responsible for governing the township's affairs, including maintaining roads, providing fire and police services, overseeing zoning, and managing parks and cemeteries. The trustees have legislative authority granted by the state to set local policies, manage township assets and budgets, and appoint administrators to execute daily operations.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Legislative Authority: The board of trustees makes policies and ordinances for the township.
Public Services: They oversee maintenance of township roads, police, fire protection, emergency medical services, parks, cemeteries, and waste disposal.
Zoning: Trustees establish and administer zoning rules for the community with the support of the Zoning Commission and a Zoning Inspector.
Budgeting: The board is responsible for adopting the annual budget and managing the township's finances.
Asset Management: They act as legal owners of township assets, manage them, and can sell or dispose of unneeded property.
